THE COMPANY

On behalf of our client, Periyiali Konnos Villas Beach Resort, a newly established unique destination in Konnos area - Protaras, comprising exclusive luxury villas, a private Club House with high-quality Restaurants and Bars, personalised service, Spa and other facilities, we seek to recruit an energetic and high calibre professional for the position of Waiter.

THE POSITION

The successful candidate will be responsible for welcoming customers, taking orders, ensuring that food and beverages are served promptly and providing exceptional service to customers.

More specifically, the responsibilities of the successful candidate will be the following, amongst others:

  • Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, glasses
  • Meet and greet customers and escort them to their table
  • Hand out menus to customers
  • Present menu, providing detailed information and answering any questions (e.g. portions, ingredients, food allergens)
  • Ensure excellent knowledge of menu items as well as any daily specials, so as to provide information if asked (e.g. portions, ingredients, food allergens)
  • Take food and drink orders, offering advice/recommendations to customers about menu and wine choices when appropriate
  • Offer alternatives and/or provide recommendations for additional food or beverage items in an effort to upsell and increase sales
  • Communicate order details to the Kitchen in a timely and correct manner
  • Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation
  • Deliver food and beverages to customers
  • Clear tables and carry dirty dishes, glasses and silverware to kitchen
  • Manage the payment process for customers (e.g. deliver check, ensure it is correct, process cash or card payments, collect the bill payment)
  • Ensure that all applicable sanitation, hygiene, health & safety regulations and requirements (e.g. ISO, HACCP,) are adhered to
  • Ensure that all rules, regulations and processes (e.g. customer service protocol, grooming / presentation standards, etc.) are adhered to
  • Communicate to the Restaurant Manager and Head Waiter any guest complaints or time delays on food preparation and handle them politely and efficiently
  • Execute any other duties assigned

 

REQUIREMENTS              

  • At least one (1) year of proven experience in a similar position in high-end restaurants
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Health & Safety Rules & Regulations and HACCP standards
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem-solving sills
  • Excellent knowledge of the English and Greek languages
  • Knowledge of any other language will be considered as an advantage
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, days, afternoons and evenings
