Our client, a well-established café/restaurant is looking for a dynamic professional to join its HR field team.

The role:

The Operations HR Officer role will exclusively focus to provide HR services and operational support to the Café Business Unit. More precisely the job holder will report to the HR Manager of the Company and will be responsible for the following tasks related to the operation.

The responsibilities:

  • Actively contribute to the design and implementation of the Recruitment strategy, set and defined by the HR Functional team and ensure its proper implementation as per action plan and set budget
  • Actively contribute to the design the strategy for becoming ‘Employer of Choice’ so that prospect employees approach the company for employment opportunity and ensure its implementation as per plan and budget
  • Prepare the Human Resources Capacity Plan (in headcounts) in cooperation with the HR Functional team and ensure that all Recruitment needs are met as per the set timeframe and estimated cost
  • Conduct all Recruitment and Selection cycle which refers to vacancy ads, career days, interviews, closure and follow up with all applicants until the employment contract signature and complete all the administration work which relates to the new hire.
  • Implement all new processes and systems launched by the HR Functional Team in regard to the recruitment activity
  • Conduct the Induction of all New Employees within a period of one month as from their employment date.
  • Ensure that all schedules are posted on time, properly and fairly prepared in line with the budget and approved by the Operations Manager
  • Define in Cooperation with the HR Functional Team the relevant training needs for staff individuals and produce the Company Training Plan with all timeframe and cost parameters
  • Follow up on the job training plans to ensure that employees are well trained and able to perform their duties satisfactorily.
  • Implement Follow-up Assessment mechanism evaluation the training results
  • Ensure that employees are fairly treated in terms working hrs and daily duties
  • Ensure that employees feel inspired and motivated by their Manager to perform at their best level
  • Ensure that employees have always someone to trust and talk to for any problems they may face and advise the restaurant managers to act upon
  • Conduct frequent meetings with all staff ensuring alignment with vision and strategy
  • Conduct individual meetings with each staff ensuring their satisfaction level and exploring any other optimum ways of best utilising their skills
  • Ensure that all schedules are properly and fairly prepared and approved by the operations manager
  • Record and keep up-to-date the company’s Annual Leave Records, keep up-to-date the company’s Sick Leave Records and any other administration activity related to benefits

The individual:

  • University degree or Master’s Business Administration, Hotel Management, Hospitality, Human Resources or any other relevant field
  • 2-3 years’ experience in hospitality industry as HR or other operational position
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Very good organisation and planning skills
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Analytical and operational thinking
