CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established and highly respected Bank with offices across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Merchant Business Development / Account Manager to join their expanding team based in Limassol. The successful applicant will possess 3+ years of experience in a relevant Banking and Card / Payment Services role. Strong knowledge of card payments, business development and merchant acquiring services are a must. Fluency in Greek & English is essential. 

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Support the Merchant Acquiring team in the proper strategy implementation of new business development and to enable product growth across the market.
  • Assist in managing effectively all aspects of the acquiring services solicitation process and service delivery management activities.
  • Meet with prospect clients and establish business professional relationships.
  • Perform a full range of merchant support activities, including responding to queries related to Acquiring business.
  • Assist on the smooth running and operational support of the internal merchant acquiring activities, including solicitation, underwriting, onboarding, merchant support and monitoring.
  • Providing training and support to merchants relevant to the product.
  • Applying a structured business development action plan and implementation of related tasks.
  • Deliver sales presentations and proposals, and provide functional support to clients making sure that they take full advantage of the Bank’s Acquiring service offering.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the clients’ business and competitive landscape, and propose solutions translating their needs into business opportunities.
  • Generate management reports and maintain internal records.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • University Degree in Business Management, Information Systems or in any other related field.
  • 3 years’ experience in a relevant Banking and Card / Payment Services role.
  • Strong knowledge of card payments, business development and merchant acquiring services.
  • Digital Payments literate and knowledge of merchant business operations, customer purchase journey and experience.
  • Experience in sales or customer relationship management and service delivery.
  • Ability to take initiative and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English and Greek languages.
