POSITION HEAD THERAPIST

JOB PURPOSE:

We are seeking to recruit a Head Therapist with excellent interpersonal skills and a minimum of 3 years’ experience gained in a similar environment with beauty and wellness facilities. Ideally you will be NVQ Level 3 qualified or equivalent with reception experience and excellent computer skills.

Reporting to the Spa Manager and supervising and developing a team of therapists to deliver on financial targets and retail strategy. Leading by example to provide the highest quality spa treatments and developing enhanced training to ensure constant improvement and guest satisfaction.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

What we are looking for in you

• Responsible for Opening/Closing Procedures when assigned to spa reception
• Leading the team to excellence in regards to treatment quality, sales results and guest satisfaction
• Oversees daily spa bookings to ensure accuracy and looks to sell any availability
• Leads by example by providing a warm welcome to all spa users
• Training new and existing therapists in treatment procedures and products.
• Creating a strong team spirit and working closely with other hotel departments.
• Support the spa reception operation and maximise revenue opportunities and guest relations by undertaking reception and reservation duties as part of daily responsibilities.
• Regularly update manuals and workbooks to ensure that all operational procedures are carried out in the prescribed manner.
• Ensure that the treatment area is well maintained, clean and free of clutter.
• Demonstrate a professional demeanor at all times, particularly with regard to punctuality, appearance and general manner.
• Work a flexible schedule, including evening, early and weekend shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. An internationally recognised qualification or equivalent.
2. 2 years college training for beauty therapy/holistic therapies or equivalent.
3. 4 years practical experience within spa environment.
4. Must speak and write English well. One foreign language in addition to English will be considered an additional advantage.
5. Very good communication skills.
6. Look smart and tidy at all times.
7. Pleasant and friendly personality, reliable and polite.
