Cablenet Communication Systems Ltd seeks to recruit a full-time person for the following career opportunity based in Nicosia:

Database Administrator (DBA)

Responsibilities:

• Oracle, MySQL, MySQL Cluster, MongoDB, and Redis databases configuration, tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization
• Database schemas expansion forecasting and preemptive maintenance 
• Consolidation of other relational databases to Oracle 
• Implementation of Backup and Disaster Recovery procedures
• Compose design and implementation documents
• Identify and discuss database issues and plans with colleagues and management

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering 
• At least 5 years experience in IT operations with an enhanced understanding of database structures, principles, and best practices
• OCA and/or OCP certification will be considered as an advantage
• Hands-on experience on Oracle RAC and/or Oracle Standard/Enterprise Edition
• Deep knowledge of Backups and Oracle Database Disaster Recovery solutions and schemes
• Strong experience in MySQL and MongoDB
• Technical documentation capabilities
