CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established and respected CySEC Licensed Investment Firm, we are seeking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their expanding team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will ideally possess a minimum of 2+ years of relevant accounting experience and will ideally be working towards the ACCA (or equivalent). Excellent communication skills in English are essential.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:
 

• Directly involved with the day-to-day reconciliations on bank, vendors and revenue movement and overall general ledgers.
• Record and maintain the business’ financial transaction in the accounting software.
• Update and maintain the general ledgers.
• Daily Monitoring and reconcile of client’s funds and process of the relevant transfers.
• Support the Team Leader and/or Financial Controller.
• Preparing Daily/Mid-month and monthly management reports.

 
Key Skills/Experience:
 

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or a relevant field.
• Studying towards ACCA (or equivalent) will be considered as an advantage.
• 2+ years of experience in an accountant role, previous experience in a Finance Department will be considered as an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Up to date IFRS knowledge.
• Ability to perform data input activities quickly and accurately.
• Data entry skills.
• Ability to work both autonomously but also as part of a team.
• Very good analytical skills and ability to reconcile discrepancies.
• Familiarity with the SAP SBO accounting software will be considered as an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Fluency in English with excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
