EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - LIMASSOL

THE COMPANY

On behalf of our client, an innovative and fast-growing technology Group of Companies with over 15 products in their portfolio used by millions of people around the world, we are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and high calibre professional to be appointed as Executive Director, based in Limassol. 

THE POSITION

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of robust strategic plans which will bring long-term success and growth to the Group. He/she will also have the responsibility of overseeing and directing the Group's activities, in order to drive performance and ensure optimisation and compliance.

More specifically, the responsibilities of the successful candidate will be the following, amongst others:

Corporate Strategy and Leadership:

  • Liaise with the shareholders of the Group in order to establish strategic priorities
  • Communicate the business strategy across the Group and coordinate with departmental heads in order to provide leadership and direction for the achievement of short-term and long-term objectives
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators and take corrective action as deemed necessary
  • Keep abreast of sectorial trends to ensure Group’s responsiveness and identify possible opportunities or risks   

Legal and Compliance:

  • Review, analyze and approve corporate agreements and resolve legal matters
  • Monitor and ensure that all activities, administrative objectives and processes comply with the Group’s policies and procedures, applicable legislation and industry regulatory requirements

Treasury:

  • Handle banking related issues such as communication and negotiations with local and international banks concerning accounts opening and financing
  • Review, evaluate and approve any Treasury related tasks and/or decisions including cash flow forecasts etc.

Accounting & Tax:

  • Review, approve and monitor budgets, forecasts and monthly management reports and ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and adherence to tax obligations
  • Plan and manage the local administrative budget to ensure expenditures are within budgetary limits
  • Liaise with tax authorities for high level tax issues

Administrative and Operations:

  • Develop and implement local administrative projects, policies and procedures to ensure efficient administrative operations within the Group
  • Supervise the performance of the office administrative team and provide guidance and support as needed to ensure maximum performance

Networking and Business Development:

  • Act as the public relations representative of the Group to establish and strengthen its presence and profile
  • Establish, manage and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders in an effort to safeguard the Group’s interests and establish strategic long-term relationships (i.e. business partners, law firms, service providers and local authorities)

REQUIREMENTS              

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law/Finance/Economics/Business Administration or in any other related field
  • 10+ years of proven experience in a general or financial management position, of which 4+ in global reputable Audit/Accounting firms
  • Outstanding leadership and management skills, strong business and strategic acumen
  • Robust understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance
  • Working knowledge in corporate law, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Cyprus tax principles
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Impeccable negotiation and representation skills with a strong network of contacts
  • Analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Energetic personality and ability to energize team members
  • Excellent knowledge of the English and Greek languages
  • Excellent computer literacy   

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS         

The below qualifications will be considered as an advantage:

  • Professional Qualification (CFA, ACA, ACCA, CPA)
  • Master’s Degree in Law/Finance/Economics/Business Administration or in any other related field
  • Related experience in the technology sector
  • Good knowledge of Russian language
