CORPORATE LAWYER – LIMASSOL

THE COMPANY

On behalf of our client, a reputable Group of Companies in the Investment and Real Estate sectors, we are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and high calibre professional for the position of Corporate Lawyer, to be based in Limassol.

THE POSITION

The successful candidate will be part of the legal department of the Group, providing corporate administration, compliance and regulatory support. More specifically, the responsibilities of the successful candidate will be the following, amongst others:

• Handle corporate administration matters such as registration of legal entities, preparation and submission of changes
• Ensure maintenance of corporate files registers in an accurate manner
• Prepare and execute a variety of corporate and other legal documents included but not limited to minutes, resolutions, agreements etc.
• Liaise with internal and external key stakeholders such as local and foreign banks, regulatory authorities and other third parties on a regular basis
• Keep abreast with current and forthcoming regulations issued on national, European and international level in an effort to assess their impact and contribute to Group’s responsiveness
• Be involved in compliance related issues by handling and responding to compliance requests
• Handle due diligence requests that may arise, in an efficient manner
• Ensure regulatory compliance with applicable laws for AIFM and other legal entities of the Group
• Provide support regarding the required reporting framework under AIFM Law
• Monitor the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures and regulatory for AIFM and other legal entities of the Group

REQUIREMENTS              

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law
• Master’s Degree in Law, Economics, Finance or in any other related field will be considered as an advantage
• Basic or advanced CySEC certification will be considered as an advantage
• At least two (2) years of professional experience in a similar position, preferably in Financial Services / CySEC regulated environment
• Good knowledge of the local and European legislation
• Experience with compliance / KYC process will be considered as an advantage
• Strong experience in corporate administration process
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and results-driven
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Organisational skills, ability to work under pressure and effectively manage multiple tasks
• Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English languages, both written and verbal
• Excellent computer literacy

REMUNERATION PACKAGE

A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, according to qualifications and experience.
