Symeonides Fashion House Ltd – Marks & Spencer, seeks to recruit a high caliber professional for the following position: 

Senior Buyer position -Nicosia (Head Office)

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage, supervise and agree sale and buying estimates for all departments accountable
• Planning and budgeting; Provide a focus on creating a trading culture amongst reports; Analyse statistic reports and keep updated records for stock levels, sales and buying during the season to ensure development and maximize sales opportunities
• Promote a clear understanding of M&S’ customer, ensuring the segments and demographics needs are understood and put at the heart of the product offer; Product management across Cyprus stores; Prepare regularly competitive analysis
• Build, manage and develop a strong Buying team to ensure the product mix parameters to deliver a highly commercial and balanced range with product that excites the customer; Work closely with the team to set & deliver sales patterns and product range that excites the customer, whilst ensuring the commercial growth and targets are met
• Lead the Buying team, implement and sign off both the product strategy and ranges throughout the Buying process reflecting the agreed goals and targets; Develop the team to promote and foster company’s commercial culture and business targets.

Requirements:

• University degree in Business Administration or Statistical Analysis or Fashion Merchandising or in a related field
• Significant Buying experience with a major retailer (at least 5 years)
• Strong analysis and numerical skills
• Computer literate/ significant Excel skills
• Excellent knowledge of English language
• Understanding of Buying IT applications to optimise the critical path management and end to end system accountabilities for the Department
• Knowledge in Retail Navision system will be considered as an advantage
