Applications are invited from candidates who possess the necessary qualifications in order to fill one (1) Part-time Research Fellow position (Special Scientist for Research - Researcher A) at the Department of Public Communication under the Horizon Research Program 962553 - DEMOTEC to investigate in the field of "Mediated deliberation of participatory budgeting and apply experimental methods of research”.

Applicants should possess:

• PhD title from a recognized university in the following field of study: Political Science
• At least four (4) years of research experience
• Original publications in international scientific journals or other recognized value publications (eg. monographs or books of recognized publishers)
• Research track record in the area of European Union politics and/or computational techniques in political science
• Experience in EU-funded research programs (possibly in a similar field of expertise)
• Strong methodological skills in quantitative approaches including expertise in conducting experiments and analysis of public opinion data.
• A familiarity with computational text analysis and data mining would be a distinct advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written)

Τhe appointment will be for a period of seventeen (17) months commencing in April 2021, with the prospect of renewal. The monthly cost of employment (program budget) will be €3387,42. From this amount all legal employer and employee contributions will be deducted. The monthly gross salary, based on the legislation currently into effect, is €2948,14. There is provision for 13th salary (the cost of the 13th salary has been proportionally incorporated in the monthly remuneration as analyzed above)
