As an integral member of the delivery team, the Data Analyst is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of mission-critical enterprise reporting solutions. In addition, the data analyst must have a strong understanding of the business domain and be able to apply critical thinking and data analysis techniques to provide insight and prediction using the data.

Job Description

• Work on reporting backlog and provide reports aimed at creating a full self-service platform for clients. 
• Create reports required for projects delivered by the solutions team.
• Work on data analytics for client data. i.e. build reports and data analysis systems to ensure data delivered to clients is of the highest quality. 
• Work with development and solutions teams to prioritize system enhancements and suggest process changes that promote high-quality data
• Create reports required as part of specific projects delivered to the business.
• Maintenance and upgrade of existing platforms e.g. upgrading user access mechanism on platforms
• Research and test new platforms when required for assistance in deciding future technology decisions

Your Profile

• 1+ years’ experience developing and implementing enterprise-scale reports and dashboards, including:
  • Working with users in a requirements analysis role
  • Experience with data warehouse implementations
  • Knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts (relational and dimensional)
  • Knowledge of data analytics techniques and methodologies
• Proficiency with Tableau, Information Builders, Jasper Reports, or any enterprise other reporting tools
• Proficiency in SQL to build queries for reports
• Understanding of data integration issues (validation and cleaning), familiarity with complex data and structures
• Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills are required to support working in project environments that includes internal, external, and customer teams
• Requires strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities
• Team player who is motivated and committed to making a project successful, and can fit into a structured professional environment
• Ability to work within the boundaries of the architecture and existing design patterns and guidelines
• Ability to work with agreed deadlines, working at a consistent pace to deliver quality results on time
• Work carefully, paying attention to detail, and cognisant of the effect changes can have on existing systems
• Ability and willingness to explain and communicate within a team environment, both verbally and as part of the documentation process
• A degree or diploma in Data Science or related field is preferable; an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training will be considered
