Our Tax & Legal Business is seeking recruit a dynamic and high calibre professional to join the team as an Assistant Compliance Officer, in our Nicosia Office.

The Role

The successful candidate will be dealing with risk and quality matters, as well as Deloitte policies and procedures for tax services. Key responsibilities of the position include, among others:

  • Assisting with the on-boarding processes for new clients and engagements:
    • Collection of necessary documentation for client and engagement acceptance, liaising with clients as well as other Deloitte professionals, as required
    • Proceeding with all necessary conflict check, independence and confidentiality procedures, using Deloitte internal systems
    • Recording the client and engagement acceptance using Deloitte internal systems and arranging for the necessary approvals
  • Handling all other administration matters in relation to client and engagement acceptance
  • Dealing with contractual arrangements including preparation of engagement letters and other agreements with clients

In this role, the successful candidate will be expected to act as an individual contributor, delivering high quality work with guidance from senior team members.

Requirements

  • College degree or Undergraduate degree from a reputable University in any field
  • Relevant experience in a Professional Services organization will be considered an advantage
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented and conscientious approach
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written
