Our Trading Operations Analyst performs a key role in the management of Pepperstone’s trading infrastructure and products. You'll ensure they continue to run smoothly and deal with any issues that arise. You'll assist other departments and our global offices with data requests, process implementations, problem-solving and project delivery. This role is crucial, as you'll be working on a number of day-to-day operations tasks that are critical to the function of the company.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you'll also support the execution of our operations strategy through providing insight, analysis and reporting on systems and processes; research, recommending and executing improvements and efficiencies whilst maintaining compliance and commercial standards.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Completing daily operational tasks as required by the business

• Monitoring and reporting on operations and systems including MT4, MT5, cTrader and bridge software

• Responding to and maintaining reporting on incidents, complaints and issues

• Assisting to integrate products and infrastructure

• Assisting in the development of training material and documentation of processes as required

• Undertaking analysis, making recommendations to elevate and enhance the ongoing operations of the company

• Working effectively with departments across the business to drive whole business improvements

• Providing assistance with and taking ownership of initiatives and projects

• Escalating issues to the Senior Operations Analyst or Head of Operations in a timely manner.

Our ideal new team member possesses: 

• 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role

• Relevant degree in Economics, Business, IT or similar

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to ongoing changes quickly

• Ability to work collaboratively with teams and across functions

• Excellent communications skills and command of the English Language

• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities

• Demonstrated experience in assisting with driving improvements in processes and systems

• Ability to work with a strong compliance focus

• Committed to ongoing learning and development

• Experience working with retail FX bridge technologies (desirable)

• Experience in a financial application support role (desirable)

• Experience in MySQL, PostgreSQL, Amazon Redshift or SQL based reporting (highly desirable)

• Experience with MT4, MT5 and cTrader would be advantageous although training will be provided
