3CX is looking for a Cloud Engineer - to track, troubleshoot and maintain 3CX’s hosting infrastructure. If you’re a tech enthusiast with a passion for automation as well as Linux and are organized and efficient then you might be just the person we’re looking for. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be trained in-house on Voice over IP if no prior experience is present.

Our Cloud Engineer will be a vital member of the 3CX team in Cyprus, helping to ensure that the day-to-day operations of our hosting services run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
The successful person will work closely with the 3CX Support team to ensure customer satisfaction and high quality service. Key responsibilities will include monitoring and maintaining the following infrastructure operations at 3CX:

• Online cloud infrastructure
• Hosting platform
• FQDN generation on PBXs
• SMTP operations
• Webmeeting monitoring via Nagios
• Answering tickets via ticketing system
• Restoration of previous backup configurations on customer PBXs upon customer requests
• Investigation and reporting of system crashes to appropriate team if no live solution possible
• Creation of scripts to mass update OS and PBXs in different regions and timezones

About the Applicant
Must have:

• Experience in working as a Linux (Debian) System Administrator
• An understanding of command lines and bash scripting
• Basic knowledge of network and infrastructure topologies
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Willingness to work shifts on a 24/5 rotation

Nice to have:

• Experience with lead cloud hosting providers
• Knowledge of monitoring processes and orchestration of multiple systems via Google Cloud Monitoring, Salt and Monitoring Software Tools.
