Cost Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Reports to the Project Director and is responsible for the review and evaluation of Trade Contractor and Trade Sub-Contractor cost and progress claims submittals.

The Cost Engineer specific duties and responsibilities include:                                                                         

Review and evaluation of cost claims received including:

• Contract scope of work analysis
• Unit price evaluation
• Shop drawing and design review as required
• Development of alternate claim offer if justified
• Issuance of evaluation report and recommendation to the Project Director

Review and evaluation of claims received including:

• Measuring of work done for the claimed period
• Ensuring free issued materials are incorporated into the
• On-site work completion verification
• Evaluation of extended costs associated with Programme extensions (if any)
• Issuance of evaluation report and recommendation to the Project Director

Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Master degree in Construction Management will be considered as an advantage
• At least 8 years of relevant experience
• Experience in residential construction is a must
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project, Microsoft Office
• Advanced organization skills and structure mindset and work approach
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• High level of team spirit
