CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER – NICOSIA

On behalf of our client, a long-established and highly reputable Organisation in its field, we seek to recruit a high calibre professional for the position of Chief Financial Officer, to be based in Nicosia.

THE POSITION

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the finance and accounting function of the Organisation. More specifically, the responsibilities of the successful candidate will be the following, amongst other:

• Monitor and evaluate the Organisation’s financial position and provide sound financial advice so as to support strategic decision-making
• Develop and implement  policies, priorities and processes in relation to the financial management activities of the Organisation
• Define and monitor financial related Key Performance Indicators according to the strategic objectives of the Organisation
• Oversee the timely preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts and cash-flow management reports and ensure adherence to tax obligations
• Liaise with the Management Team in order to establish the departmental and corporate budgets and forecasts (i.e. revenue, expenditures, etc.), ensure that these are met and take proactive action when necessary  
• Maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with professional standards, applicable laws and regulations
• Monitor all accounts payable and accounts receivable and provide guidance for appropriate action
• Ensure full compliance with all applicable laws, regulatory requirements, as well as the Organisation’s policies
• Monitor the performance of his/her team, provide leadership and direction and opportunities for further development
• Manage and maintain strong relationships with internal and external key stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS

• Professional qualification ACA / ACCA / CPA
• Degree from a reputable university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or in a related field
• At least seven (7) years of experience with a proven track record in a similar position
• Experience in reporting to Shareholders or Board of Directors and working closely with the Top Management team
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated experience in leading teams
• Results and strategic orientation, and ability to manage by objectives
• Strong business and financial management acumen
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Knowledge of the existing legislation and best practices related to his/her duties
• Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English languages, both written and verbal
• Excellent computer literacy (including exposure with computerized accounting software and ERP systems)
