Planning Engineer

On behalf of our client, a prestigious entity with luxurious seafront Real Estate developments, we seek to recruit a reliable and high calibre professional for the position of Planning Engineer.

THE POSITION

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and assistance to the Engineer and the Construction Technical Manager, for the purpose of effectively monitoring and reporting on the progress of Real Estate development projects as per contractual requirements and programmes. More specifically, the responsibilities of the successful candidate will be the following, amongst other:

• Assess and examine the contractors’ programme submissions so as to ensure that they are in accordance with the contract requirements and to the Engineer’s satisfaction
• Review any revised / recovery Contractor’s programme submissions and ensure they are according to the contract requirements or as per the directions of the Engineer and / or the Construction Technical Manager
• Monitor site progress at least on a monthly basis and identify and communicate any areas of delay or other issues
• Examine any time extensions submitted by contractors and ensure that these are according to the “consented to” construction programmes
• Preparation of the Engineer’s month-end progress report in collaboration with other construction management team members
• Provide assistance to the Engineer and Construction Technical Manager in their duties and day to day operations
• Contribute to progress meetings, as required, in support of the Engineer and Construction Technical Manager
• Provide assistance to the consultants’ supervision teams for the inspection of the works as directed by the Engineer and / or the Construction Technical Manager
• Perform any other related duties as requested, in his/her capacity as planner and construction assistant engineer or as needed according to the business needs

REQUIREMENTS              

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with a specialisation in Project Management or Construction Management, Master’s Degree in a related field will be considered an advantage
• Registered Member of the Technical Chamber of Cyprus or other related Technical Professional Body
• Five (5) years of professional experience in construction project planning/project management
• Proven construction site experience and sound knowledge of buildability, construction methodologies and sequencing of works
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and team working skills
• Excellent ability to compile information with a structured approach to report preparation
• Strong attention to detail and time and organisational management
• Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English languages, both written and verbal
• Excellent computer literacy (Microsoft packages, AutoCAD/Revit, MS Project and Oracle Primavera)

REMUNERATION PACKAGE
