PROFILE

The Barman A will ensure the smooth running of the Bar, making sure that all food, drinks, cocktails and beverages are prepared and served promptly and in the most efficient and effective manner, delivering the highest possible standards of service to all guests (internal and external of the Hotel); the Barman A will also be pro-active in maintaining and/or improving department profitability in accordance with the Hotel policies, procedures and standards. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

- Demonstrate and ensure all subordinates demonstrate thorough knowledge and ability in the execution of: the steps of service, standards and concept guidelines,

- Welcome, greet, recognise, acknowledge and bid farewell to all guests in a welcoming, friendly and professional manner,

- Sense, identify and anticipate guest needs; quickly respond to maximum satisfaction and report upward and downward should a guest not be content with their experience,

- Manage other daily duties: assign duties to staff, work stations, responsibilities and direct their performances; greet and attend to guests at all times; check menus; make drinks; serve products; assist in the creation of new drinks; respond efficiently to customer needs,

- Monitor all the department activities by actively participating in the service, be vigilantly attentive to service details, produce quality and standards

 QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position; proven experience as barman in high end restaurants,

- Excellent knowledge of Classic Cocktail ingredients and preparation/mixing techniques,

- Great attention to detail and creativity,

- Ability to multitask and to follow pre-set recipes,

- Organisation and leadership skills,

- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with co-workers and guests,

- Proficiency in another language will be considered an advantage,

- Comply with Cyprus legislation and be conversant with and act in accordance with any such matters relating to their department.
