Cablenet is seeking to hire a Software Developer with at least three years of experience, to be a part of our team based in Nicosia.

Who we are looking for:

The ideal candidate should be a strong team player, process a strong understanding of web technologies, be passionate about technology in general, be detail-oriented and be thorough in designing, coding and testing.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science
  • At least 3 years’ experience in web software development using PHP and/or Java
  • Experience using and developing REST and SOAP web services in PHP and/or Java
  • Experience in working with an MVC framework such as Symfony will be considered as advantage
  • Experience with NodeJS will be considered as advantage
  • Experience with Javascript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap
  • Good knowledge of database technologies (such as MySQL and Oracle)
  • Experience with Revision Control (like Git, Bitbucket) and Issue Tracking systems (like Jira)
  • Experience with test driven development and unit testing will be considered an advantage
  • Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent in both Greek and English

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in development and implementation of new software
  • Assist in maintenance of existing software
  • Prepare documentation
  • Write, maintain and execute test plans
  • Work as part of a highly motivated, focused team
  • Build and maintain scripts, procedures and routines
