Manpower Cyprus a leading International Organisation, on behalf of our client, one of the largest Global Financial & Insurance providers, we are seeking to recruit a high calibre professional for the position of Claims Officer, to be based at our client’s offices in Nicosia.

Job Summary

The main responsibility of a Claims Officer is to investigate, negotiate and settle claims based on the policy terms and conditions and following the procedures of the company.  The Property & Casualty Claims Officer will report to Cyprus Branch Manager and will be a member of the local team working closely with other team members in supporting each other in all functions of the branch.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Preparing claim files and inputting data
• Providing customer service and assistance in case of claims
• Liaising with customers during the course of handling their claim
• Visiting claims sites if necessary
• Liaising with and monitoring outsourcers such as claims assistance providers, assessors etc.
• Deciding on claims payments within claim handling limits
• Preparing reports as needed

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Law, Finance or any other related field from a reputable University
• Master’s degree and/or any insurance relevant professional qualifications will be considered an advantage
• Minimum 2-3 years previous work experience in a similar position (Property, Casualty and Motor Claims)
• Proficient in MS Office, with advance Excel knowledge
• High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
• Strong strategic, problem-solving, negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to work on cross-functional teams
• Excellent planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English and Greek)
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach

Remuneration:
