MGR Human Resources, member of MAP S.Platis, the leading financial services consultancy Group in the region, is seeking to recruit a high caliber, dynamic and enthusiastic individual for the position of Chief Financial Officer to be based at its Nicosia or Limassol offices. The successful candidate will hold a full-time role and will have unique profile-building and career growth opportunities in a fast-growing sector, working alongside highly experienced specialists and consultants.

The Position

The successful candidate will be based in Cyprus and will be acting as a CFO on an outsourced basis to a MAP S.Platis Group financial services consultancy Firm, long established and operating in the UK. Travelling to London regularly for coordination purposes will be necessary.

Some of the key duties which the position entails include, amongst other, to:

  • Monitor the results and financial position of the Firm and ensure alignment with financial direction from the Board of Directors
  • Direct and supervise the performance of the UK local finance team
  • Manage internal systems and enhance financial controls
  • Prepare and regularly submit Management Reports to support decision-making
  • Liaise with the Firm’s Consultants for quotations to be submitted and fee strategy
  • Monitor cashflow, financial planning and cost control
  • Oversee compliance with relevant tax regulatory matters in consultation with local finance team
  • Monitor the timesheet system and cost base
  • Drive ERP implementation for the Firm

Requirements

  • ACCA/ACA qualified
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree in an Accounting, Finance or Management discipline, from a reputable academic institution
  • At least 8 years of relevant working experience in a senior Financial Management role, preferably in the financial industry
  • Experience in partnering with an executive team and reporting to the Board of Directors
  • Willingness for frequent travelling
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent command of the Greek and English languages both verbally and written
  • Capable of multi-tasking and handling multiple priorities
  • Experience with ERP system implementations and working knowledge will be considered an advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Remuneration

A competitive remuneration package, including discretionary performance related bonus and other benefits will be offered to the successful candidate based on qualifications and experience.
