As part of the Delivery department for our international client, you will be working as a member of the Implementation team. As a DBA Consultant, you will be sizing, implementing, and testing deployments of WAY4 from the perspectives of the database. You will be ensuring the uptime and performance of WAY4 solution deliveries, according to the requirements analysis.

 

 Job Description

  • Participation in implementation and support projects of processing systems (financial and telecom areas)
  • Large transaction systems performance audit
  • Miscellaneous load systems - OLTP + DSS - performance improvement
  • Writing and performing load (stress) tests
  • New technologies (mainly Oracle) investigation and application in a complex architecture solution
  • Requirements collection and analysis, specifications development and solution design involvement
  • Participation in customization and system modules setting
  • Clients’ training and workshops attendance.

 Your Profile

  • Higher education in technical fields (Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics)
  • Professional experience: IT area – at least 5 years, including Oracle database administration and/or development – at least 3 years
  • Experience in large OLTP-systems development and/or administration
  • Experience in developing and/or implementation (support) large distributed application systems on Java or C/C++ as well as experience in cluster technology working experience, including Oracle RAC
  • Oracle Data Guard working experience
  • Unix-systems and drive array Enterprise level working experience.
  • Strong theoretical background and knowledge in IT and computer science
  • Theoretical background in software lifecycle/ design baseline/ software development and QA acknowledgment
  • Administration level knowledge of Unix-like systems
  • PL/SQL + Java or C/C++ development skills would be an advantage
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle database including architecture awareness
  • Good knowledge of network technologies
  • In-depth understanding of infrastructure deployment and networks. Specifically in relation to the deployment of a database in production environments for large scale financial processing
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly, effectively and convincingly
  • Willingness to travel abroad for projects
  • Experience with cloud deployment and in-cloud database management
