Manpower a leading International Organisation, on behalf of our client we are seeking to recruit a high calibre professional for the position of Freight Forwarding Manager, to be based at our client’s offices in Nicosia.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the Freight Forwarding department, setting-up procedures and maintaining the day-to-day operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, experienced Freight Operations Manager with good business acumen and commercial flair, to own a growing P&L with the freedom to manage it like your own business.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies for increased sea freight performance
• Develop a strong sea freight product and build competency throughout the group
• Manage, monitor and develop the sea freight team of operational staff
• Identify business opportunities and improve overall market share
• Develop long term partnerships with overseas partners and customers
• Provide product development, improve business processes and maximise profitability
• Have responsibility for the division budget and P&L

Skills and Qualifications

• University degree, preferably in Logistics or Maritime Studies or Supply Chain Management or Business Management or other relevant
• At least 3 years previous experience in successfully managing a Freight Forwarding operation
• Excellent relationships with international forwarders and wholesalers with a deep understanding of pricing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English and Greek)
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Working knowledge of Freight Forwarding Systems
• Ability to work independently and manage a team
• Excellent customer relationship management skills
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach Remuneration
