CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established and highly respected provider of Corporate & Accounting Services with offices in the heart of Larnaca, we are seeking to recruit an experienced and suitably well-qualified Client Accountant to join their expanding team of professionals. The successful applicant will have a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in either Client Accounting or Internal Accounting and possess outstanding communication skills in English.  

  Key Duties/Responsibilities:
 

• Oversee the daily operations for both a portfolio of international clients as well as the internal accounting department.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principals.
• Assessing agreements for any tax or VAT implications.
• Completion of tax and VAT forms.
• Lead ad hoc projects and manage resources to ensure, implementation, compliance and accuracy.
• Communicate with clients either by telephone or e-mails and face to face.
• Liaise with the auditors/associates.
• Liaise with government authorities.
• Liaise with company Directors.

 
Key Skills/Experience:
 

• Accounting/Economics/Business related degree will be considered an advantage.
• LCCI Higher or CAT diploma or any other equivalent in accounting is prerequisite.
• ACA/ACCA qualification will be considered as an advantage.
• Minimum of four years’ experience in the accounting of international clients and/or internal accounting function.
• Computer Literate.
• Good Knowledge of Cyprus tax Law.
• Very good knowledge of applying VAT principles for international clients and for services offer ed to international clients.
• Very good knowledge of Social Insurance Law.
• Knowledge of Sofia and CYCOM accounting Software will be considered as an advantage.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills in the English Language.
• Experience with International clients is preferable.
