Overview

This is an opportunity for a young energetic accountant to join a dynamic Accounts Dept environment, develop skills, and gain the necessary experience that will enhance future career prospects.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the preparation of the company's annual budget.
  • Managing and maintaining the Fixed Asset Register database, including posting of the month-end depreciation charge.
  • Preparation of report for the various reports for VIES.
  • Overall responsibility for handling of old stock, devaluations and write offs and managing six-monthly stock counts.
  • Providing support and assistance to warehouse staff for unusual transactions.
  • Review, analysis and posting into the ERP of monthly bills such as electricity, vehicles fuel and telephone.
  • Opening and managing the photocopier cards in the ERP for printing contracts and periodically checking their profitability.
  • Preparing monthly Bank Reconciliations.
  • Quarterly reporting to the Central Bank.
  • Keep database for maintenance contract costs for the purpose of deferral and release into the results to match with income recognition.
  • Ad-hoc management reports of advance nature, required by management on a frequent basis.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Finance or recently qualified ACCA.
  • Previous experience in an Accounts Department will be considered an advantage.
  • Very good knowledge of the English language and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Working experience with Navision will be considered an advantage.
  • Notable organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to manage priorities, communicate progress and meet deadlines.
  • Able to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and professional discretion.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, including multi-task abilities.

Reports to

The Chief Accountant and Managing Director.
