CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a logistics and distribution service provider, we are seeking to recruit a dynamic Operations Manager to join their expanding team of professionals based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will be responsible for the overall supply chain management of the company and should have a minimum of 5+ of relevant professional experience.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Achieve the company’s Financial and Operational objectives.
  • Maintain constant communication with management, staff, and customers to ensure proper operations of the company ensuring deliverables according to the customer expectations, and increase value for the shareholders.
  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services.
  • Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle.
  • Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
  • Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols.
  • Grow the efficiency of the existing departments through the improvement of process and procedures.
  • Ensure operational activities remain within the agreed SLA’s with the customers and within a defined budget.
  • Identify new business opportunities from existing and new customers.
  • Manage timely data collection to update operations metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Achieve the agreed budget and EBITDA.
  • Present the results of each department with substantiated variance analysis to the Board of Directors.
  • Costing of different activities and preparation of offers to existing and new customers.
  • Work closely with Accounts, Finance and Quality departments to make sure activities remain compliant and within budget.
  • Prepare any requested report from the upper management and Board of Directors members.

 
Key Skills/Experience:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Record of successful distribution and logistics management.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff.
  • Proficient in standard logistics software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
  • Fluency in Greek and English (Written & Spoken).
