Meeting Point Cyprus, part of Meeting Point International Group is seeking to recruit a high caliber, experienced, dynamic and motivated person as Key Account Officer.
The Key Account Officer is responsible for the business development for specific Tour Operators and as the general "point of contact" for all enquiries from Tour Operators responsible for coordinating with different departments (Product, Contracting, Data Control, Reservation, Operations and Customer Service) ensuring the Operator’s growth and profitability in the destination of focus. This role requires you to travel and acquire the knowledge of different cultures with the multinational experience of working with different tour operators in addition to enhancing their sales & marketing capabilities. The selected candidate will be reporting directly to the Head of Commercial and will work alongside a team of Key Account Officers to reach the objectives of this role.

Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Acting as the general ‘Point of Contact’ for all enquiries from existing B2B clients such as Tour Operators;
- Responsible for ensuring the competitiveness and driving growth as well as profitability of the client in the destination of focus;
- Coordinating the services of all the DMC Departments whilst guaranteeing high quality of workflow of all Departments to support the client’s performance;
- Monitoring the Tour Operator Sales by assessing the booking trend by thoroughly analysing booking intake;
- Set budgets and sales targets for each client, update and report regular forecasts;
- Ensure a high rate of conversion of booking requests into fixed bookings by providing highest inventory availability and most competitive prices
- Choosing and applying mark-ups and pricing schemes according to the company’s pricing strategy aiming at highest volumes and the respective yields;
- Have a solid grip on the landscape of the company’s major competition, their products and also pricing strategies;
- Managing and always have a contingency plan in place in case of flight seat cancellations resulting in hotel occupancy drops.
Applicants must fulfil the following criteria:
- Preferably possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Tourist Studies or other related fields;
- Ideally have worked in a DMC, Travel Agency or Tour Operator for at least 2-4 years;
- A good understanding of the local tourism infrastructure including the touristic suppliers such as hotels, attractions and other leisure segments;
- Be an energetic person with the ability to work under pressure and have a hands-on approach;
- Able to work under own initiative and with minimum supervision;
- Strong command of MS Office especially in Word, Excel and Powerpoint applications;
- Demonstrate a high sense of team spirit and work-engagement towards the role;
- Possess a high level of perseverance and commitment
- Greek and english proficiency is a must, any other language is an asset
REMUNERATION
A competitive remuneration package shall be negotiated with the successful applicant based on his/her qualifications and experiences.
