Overview

The main responsibility of the position is to make sure that the Group conducts its business in full compliance with all national and international laws and regulations that pertain to its particular industry, as well as professional standards, accepted business practices, and internal standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identifies the risks that the Group faces and advises on them (identification).
  • Designs and implements controls to protect the Group from the risks (prevention).
  • Monitors and reports on the effectiveness of the controls in the management of the organization’s exposure to risks (monitoring and detection).
  • Resolves compliance difficulties as they occur (resolution).
  • Advises the business on rules and controls (advisory).

Qualifications and Skills

  • Member of ACA or ACCA or CFA or related body or Masters’ degree in Finance or MBA or related field 
  • Minimum five (5) years working experience.
  • Intuitive knowledge of the greater IT industry and standard business law.
  • Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance, and human resource procedures and regulations preferably in the IT/Technology industry will be considered an advantage.
  • Experience in auditing is helpful.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Well organized, efficient, self-starter able to work independently. Detail oriented, in order to generate accurate and precise work.
  • Excellent analytical skills, and the ability to conduct thorough research and to interpret and understand laws and regulations. Provide workable recommendations and solutions to problems.
  • Ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and staff.
