We, a well-established Top 10 Audit & Accounting Firm based in Nicosia, are looking to hire a qualified or partly-qualified accountant to join our Financial Reporting and Accounting team.

The successful candidate will be offered on the job training and will be part of a young and highly professional accounting team, servicing a diverse and multidiscipline portfolio of local and international clients

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include:

• Act as the key point of contact for a portfolio of VAT and payroll clients
• Bookkeeping and recording transactions in the accounting system
• Preparation of monthly VIES and quarterly VAT returns
• Preparation of management accounts under IFRS
• Processing of monthly payroll for clients’ employees
• Preparation of the file for the year-end statutory audits of the companies
   

Qualifications

• 1 – 3 years working experience with an accounting and audit firm in a similar position
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work unsupervised
• Computer literature
• Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken)

The working hours are:

• Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 8:00am – 5:30pm (with a midday break); and
• Wednesday and Friday: 8:00am – 2:30pm.
