LGS Handling Ltd is seeking to recruit an individual for the position of Cargo Warehouse Keeper/Worker in Larnaca station. The position is on a permanent part time basis (38 working hours per week). The main role of a Cargo Warehouse Keeper/Worker is to ensure a safe and efficient Cargo warehouse and shipment handling.
Requirements
- High school certificate as a minimum requirement
- Very good knowledge of Greek and satisfactory knowledge of English Language
- Independent as well as team player with initiative, willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
- Integrity, safety and security oriented
- Driver’s license holder
- Ability to work in shifts
- Clean criminal police record
- Military service obligations served
Main responsibilities
- Ensures that all cargo received shipments are properly packed and labelled before transported to the a/c for loading.
- Works closely with all staff of the department to ensure timely receipt and release of shipments.
- Maintains and controls Warehouse Inventory.
- Physically loading - unloading of goods to and from trucks. Operating the forklift and the tractor.
- Arranging and coordinating import and export cargo. (Double checking contents, labels etc).
- Expediting of cargo and timely issue of resolutions/updates as per job or client requirements.
- Liaising directly with customers, receiving and delivering cargo.
- Security checking via x-ray machine (security customs authority)
- Is responsible for the Warehouse organization and tidiness within the Cargo Department.
- Complies with the company’s Quality, health and Safety and Environmental policy.
- Any other duties that may be assigned by the Cargo Manager.
