Running in Cyprus Ltd is a fast-growing company based in Nicosia with operations all over Cyprus and mainly Pafos. The main focus of the company is the organization of running events, seminars, conferences and training camps.

In the Events Assistant role, you will dive into the formulation and execution of event plans as well as improving operational efficiency throughout the event cycle. This role is based on logistics so impeccable attention to detail is required.

In the Hospitality Assistant role, you will need to improve the current system of sales by developing relationships with overseas travel agencies and athletic touristic offices, opinion leaders and hoteliers. This role also includes trips to various countries for meetings and sports travel exhibitions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with the Event Director to develop event plans.
  • Collaborating with the Event Director in the recruitment, training, and assignment of part-time, seasonal and temporary event staff/volunteers.
  • Creating documentation that facilitates understanding of the event practice and procedure. Suggest improvements to enhance the success of the events.
  • Liaising externally with City authorities and local communities to ensure all aspects of permitting and awareness are appropriately fulfilled.
  • Liaison and negotiation with vendors and suppliers.
  • Liaise with sales and marketing department to publicize and further promote the USPs of the events and expand/develop events with extra activities.
  • Establish relationships with running clubs, travel agencies and opinion leaders to increase operations with the addition of new services or enhance already established ones.
  • Communicate and promote current packages and services.
  • Transform customer relationships from transactional to transformational, maintaining the balance between revenue growth and the client experience.
  • Other duties and projects will be assigned based on individual skill set and organizational needs. You will be expected to pitch in in many different ways and be given the opportunity to explore other aspects of the company based on your unique skill set.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in “Events & Hospitality” or “Hotel, Tourism and Events” or “Events Management” or “Tourism, Leisure and Events Management”
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of organization.
  • Flexibility in scheduling – the role includes travelling.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work in an organized way with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English Language (extra languages are a bonus)

  • Valid driver’s license
