TOPSHOP, TOPMAN, DOROTHY PERKINS, WALLIS & EVANSFashion Brands are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and energetic individual for the position of Buyer/Merchandiser
Reporting to the Merchandise Manager and working closely with the various brand Partners, the Buyer/Merchandiser will ensure that the most commercial ranges and product arrive into both physical stores and e-commerce platforms at the correct time and the right quantities to maximize of sales.
Main Responsibilities
- Assisting in the planning product ranges and preparing sales and stock plans in conjunction with the Merchandise Manager and the Arcadia brands teams.
- Liaising with Arcadia Buying and Merchandising teams, stores, suppliers, and distributors.
- Maintaining a comprehensive library of appropriate product and reporting data.
- Working closely with visual-display staff and Operations to decide how goods should be displayed to maximise sales.
- Assist in forecasting profits and sales and optimising the sales volume and profitability of designated product areas.
- Monitoring and controlling stock levels based on forecasts for the season.
- Setting up and working with Excel planning and reporting spreadsheets extensively.
- Analysing every aspect of bestsellers and ensuring that they reach their full potential.
- Monitoring slow sellers and proposing actions to improve performance.
- Maintaining awareness of competitors' performance.
- Assessing information on customers' reactions to products.
- Analysing the previous season's sales and reporting on the current season's lines.
- Maintain and monitor stock levels and movements, ordering stock, agreeing timescales and delivery dates and completing the necessary paperwork.
- Assist in developing pricing and merchandising strategy to meet sales targets.
- Identifying product and supply issues and dealing with any problems or delays as they arise.
Skills & Qualifications
- University degree in relevant fields will be considered an advantage.
- Analytical skills and a high level of maths proficiency
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Proficient in Greek and English both spoken and written
- A genuine interest in the Fashion Retail sector
- 2-3 years relevant experience in a similar role
