CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a very well-established and highly respected Financial Services Institution with a presence throughout Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a suitably well-qualified and experienced SCRUM Master to join their expanding team of professionals based in Nicosia. The successful applicant must have previous and demonstrable experience as a SCRUM Master within a software development environment and be very familiar with the Agile framework.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Monitor projects’ progress; coordinate sprints, arrange daily scrum meetings and retrospective meetings.
• Work closely with Product Owners and Development Team to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value.
• Coordinate with other (non-agile) teams in the organisation.
• Document and prioritise requirements, use cases, stories, epics and themes.
• Facilitate discussions, decision making and conflict resolution.
• Promote Agile quality practices across the team.
• Resolve impediment and have control over the scrum processes.
• Build trust with teams and stakeholders through open and honest conversation.
• Work with team members to identify and mitigate risks, as well as resolve project issues.
• Ensure that the team applies the Scrum framework and follows the standard policies and procedures.
• Monitor performance and ensure that deliverables are up to quality standards.
• Help build flexible, creative and fully productive teams, ensuring that every team member has necessary tools for delivering high quality products.
• Follow market trends in technology and digital banking to ensure our roadmap is always current.
• Keep up-to-date with Agile/Scrum best practices.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Educated to degree level in Information Technology or related field.
• Previous experience as a Scrum Master for a software development team.
• Relevant qualification (e.g. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP)) will be considered as advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules and practices.
• Excellent knowledge of Agile techniques such as, User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD.
• Knowledge of Agile process and principles.
• Proactive, resourceful and diligent.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to engage with people at all levels.
• Self-starter; able to translate ideas and ambitions into practical, viable projects.
• Problem-solver, overcoming issues and obstacles as they arise.
• Fluency in Greek and English, both verbal and written.
