Job Content:

You will work on a complex, ambitious, high-load Fin Tech project featuring multiple integrations with other services. In close cooperation with Finance Team, you will identify, plan, implement, debug, deploy and support specific technologies of the Trewetch software platform. You will be also expected to mentor other engineers within the team. Some travel may be required: the Senior Software Engineer must be able to periodically work with remote teams at their facility to assist with critical technology endeavors.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of software development experience;
• PHP, JavaScript, solid coding and problem solving skills;
• Strong theoretical understanding of databases;
• 4+ years of experience developing, designing and administering RDBMS databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle etc.);
• At least 3 years exposure to MySQL in different environments;
• Database access methods, backups, monitoring and tuning;
• Exposure to high-volume and transactional database system;
• Experience creating software interfaces following the UI/UIX guidelines;
• Software architecture and design of complex solutions;
• Pro-active performance analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting and resolution of issues;
• Computer Science degree, Information Science degree, Applied Mathematics degree or equivalent industry experience required;
• Very strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills;
•  Fluent English, Russian is a big plus;

Desirable:

• Understanding of business analysis requirements;
• Leadership experience in an engineering environment;
• Experience in data modeling/analysis and life-cycle development;
• Familiarity with Power Designer, Ext JS v.6.5 or higher;

The candidates must have a valid working permit for employment in Cyprus.
