JUNIOR WEB DESIGNER

About the company:
At Techlink we design intelligent, bespoke and intuitive web applications, desktop applications, mobile apps, and provide services that transform brands for their digital ignition.

We are currently seeking a Web Designer for our offices in Nicosia. The successful candidate will be assisting our design department and report directly to our Head of Design. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior Web & Graphic Designer to work on a variety of products and experiences.

We are looking for someone with a compelling portfolio of graphic design work who is looking for the opportunity to translate their graphic skills into web design.

Job Description

•         Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts and develop interactive design
•         Create engaging and user-friendly website designs
•         Design online/offline advertising materials, including banners and landing pages, and ensure they are in line with the branding policy of the company or client
•         Collaborate with project managers, designers and other departments to create advertising material for various projects and campaigns
•         Convert initial concepts, mock-ups, wireframes and sketches to complete designs and UIs
•         Apply user-centric methodologies to design websites, UIs, mobile UIs and online advertising material
•         Create promotional material for print media
•         Work on layouts and art working pages ready for print
•         Assist with brand development
•         Support the Head of Design with any other tasks assigned

Required Skills & Experience

•          Bachelor’s degree in web or graphic design
•         0-2 years’ experience in the design of webpages and banners
•          Work portfolio (only applications accompanied with a portfolio will be considered)
•         Knowledge of Adobe CS, including Photoshop and Illustrator
•         Strong typography, layout and visual design skills
•         Experience with at least one of the following: illustration, web icons, logos, videos, animation
•         Excellent written and verbal skills in English, Greek would be a plus
•         Excellent team working skills
•         Creative and passionate about graphic/web design
•         Able to create HTML5 banners (Google Web Designer / Adobe Animate CC)
•         Must be flexible and deadline oriented with attention to detail
•         Willing to learn new things and take direction
•         Knowledge of prototyping tools, such as InVision Sketch and Craft, will be a plus
•         Portfolio of online works (banners, websites) would be a plus
