THE COMPANY

On behalf of our client, a leading Beverage Manufacturer, we seek to recruit an experienced and high calibre professional for the position of Finance Manager, to be based in Nicosia.

THE POSITION

The successful candidate will be responsible to oversee all accounting and financial matters, ensuring the integrity and quality of financial and management reporting, complying with reporting requirements and policies, maintaining and governing the internal controls environment and implementing best practices in the field. More specifically, the responsibilities of the successful candidate will be the following, amongst others:

• Assume overall responsibility for the finance function of the Company and its subsidiaries
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the Company's goals and objectives
• Contribute to the development of the business strategy, providing financial modelling and forecasting to support key decision making
• Implement, update and monitor financial and accounting procedures and processes to improve accuracy and operational effectiveness
• Develop, implement, and monitor annual budgets and financial forecasts
• Develop a robust risk management strategy
• Manage and protect the Company’s financial and capital assets
• Ensure the accuracy of financial records and maintain strong financial controls and compliance with relevant financial policies, regulations and standards
• Monitor all accounts payable and receivables, and manage cash flow ensuring adequate liquidity to meet obligations
• Establish and maintain a robust financial reporting system, as per country’s regulatory and legal requirements, monitor financial data and related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), identify opportunities and areas for improvement and take corrective actions, if and when needed; advise management on matters such as effective use of resources and assumptions underlying budget forecasts
• Support the Production Management team by providing valuable financial insights, data analysis, and strategic recommendations
• Lead and mentor the accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
• Manage and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders such as banking institutions, auditors, tax and legal advisors, local authorities, etc.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or in any other related field
• Professional qualification such as ACA / ACCA / CPA
• At least five (5) years of related experience; experience within the Beverage / Food manufacturing and distribution or FMCG sector will be considered an advantage
• Advanced knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Cyprus tax principles
• Results and strategic orientation
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Strong business and financial management acumen
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Analytical thinking and detail oriented
• Knowledge of the existing legislation and best practices related to his/her duties
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written
• Excellent computer literacy, including exposure with computerized accounting software; prior experience with SAP modules will be considered an advantage
