CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding CySEC Licensed Investment Firm with offices in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit a Senior AML Officer. The successful applicant will primarily oversee and report on the day-to day operations of the AML Department as well as implement any necessary policies and measures to ensure the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing. You will ideally hold approximately 3+ years of relevant experience within an AML role, preferably within a regulated company. You will need to be a holder of a relevant professional certification such as the CySEC AML certification and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Greek.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Oversee and report on the day-to-day operations of the AML Department.
• Manage a team of two Assistant AML Officers, overseeing their performance and providing guidance.
• Review and design the necessary policies, measures and procedures related with the prevention and suppression of money laundering and terrorist financing.
• Monitor the implementation of the established policies, measures and procedures and perform regular and ad-hoc reviews and inspections as required.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews of tools utilised by the Company for the purpose of compliance with its legal and regulatory obligations.
• Develop and deliver AML/CFT training programs for employees to enhance their understanding and awareness of AML/CFT regulations.
• Develop and ensure adherence to the AML function’s monitoring programme.
• Assist with the preparation of the Annual AML Report.
• Stay informed on any changes to AML/CFT laws, regulations and best practices, ensuring that the Company remains fully compliant.

Key Skills/Experience:

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within a regulated Cyprus Investment Firm.
• Hold a valid CySEC AML Certification.
• Strong knowledge of AML/CFT applicable law.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English and Greek (written and spoken); knowledge of additional languages will be considered an asset.
• Proficient in the use of Google Workplace tools.
• Must be a permanent resident in Cyprus or hold a valid work permit.
