CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a rapidly expanding Investment Firm with offices across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Legal Advisor to join their growing team based in Limassol. As part of your role, you will be responsible for drafting and/or improving agreements, contracts and other legal documents, ensuring they are aligned with the relevant legislation, as well as providing expert and professional legal advice, guidance and support to ensure that the legal and reputational risks faced are identified, reported and mitigated. You will need to be educated to degree level in Law and possess approximately 3+ years of relevant experience in a similar role, in particular within the Forex industry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek & English are essential and holders of any relevant CySEC certifications are encouraged to apply.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Draft or improve agreements, contracts and other legal documents and ensure they are aligned with the relevant legislation.
• Provide expert and professional legal advice, guidance and support to ensure that the legal and reputational risk faced are identified, reported and mitigated.
• Consulting and handling all corporate legal processes.
• Conduct legal research on various matters and proactively identify legal risks.
• Advise the Company on potential legal risks.
• Review any new applicable laws and regulations, and advise how these are affecting the company’s operations.
• Implementation of the Internal Regulations and procedures of the Company.
• Advise on employment labour law and other legal matters, involving head office as well as global offices.
• Providing guidance and training to staff and management on legal and other related matters.
• Assisting with general and varied queries affecting the business.
• Conduct periodic audits on matters relating to regulatory and employment frameworks.
• Carries out any further duties assigned by their line manager.

Key Skills/Experience:

• University Degree in Law.
• Background in Corporate/Regulatory Law and/or Litigation.
• Approximately 3+ years of proven experience in a similar position is a must.
• Previous experience working in the Forex industry.
• Relevant CySEC certificates will be considered an advantage.
• Financial services regulatory experience is an advantage.
• Experience reading and interpreting regulations, law and statutes.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem solving skills, flexibility and adaptability.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Full proficiency in the English and Greek languages.
• Ability to manage highly confidential and sensitive information.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
