The Island Private School of Limassol in Cyprus opened for the first 500 students in September 2022, and is now looking for a competent, experienced and, above all, passionate Parents Communication Specialist to join our team.

We are also in the process of building our new school campus on a beautiful 50,000 m2 site which is to be completed approximately by the end of 2025 and will include kindergarten, elementary and high school, an international boarding school, and accommodation for teachers. Job Summary:

The Parents Communications Specialist will be responsible for implementing an effective communication framework, system and tools that foster positive relationships between a school and parents. The specialist will work closely with school Administration, teachers, and staff to ensure that parents are informed and engaged in their children's education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in development and implementations of the comprehensive parent communication system and tools that help to promote engagement, awareness, and support for the school’s mission, vision, and values.
• Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and staff to create and distribute regular communication materials, including newsletters, email updates, website content, social media posts, and other relevant communications.
• Provide timely and accurate information to parents about school events, student progress, academic programs, and other key issues through a variety of communication channels.
• Plan and organise parent meetings, workshops, and other events that provide opportunities for parents to connect with school staff and share feedback about their children's educational experiences.
• Manage and update the school or educational organisation's parent database to ensure accurate contact information and communication preferences.
• Conduct surveys and gather feedback from parents to inform and improve the school's communication framework, tools and parent engagement efforts.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest communication trends, technologies, and best practices in parent engagement and apply them to the school communications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, education, or a related field.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an educational setting.
• Advanced English is a must, Russian would be an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Knowledge of communication technologies and tools, including email marketing platforms, social media, content management systems, and survey software.
• Experience with event planning and coordination.
• A passion for education and a strong commitment to fostering positive relationships between schools and parents.

Working Conditions:

The Parents Communications Specialist will work primarily in an office environment, but may also be required to attend school events and meetings outside of regular business hours. The Parent Communications Specialist will work as part of a team, and will interact regularly with school administrators, teachers, staff, and parents.
