CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a large and long-established International Investment Firm with regional offices in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Compliance & AML Officer to join their growing team based in Limassol. The successful applicant will ideally possess an academic background relating to Law, Finance, Business Administration or any other relevant field and will need to possess a minimum of 2+ years of previous experience working in a similar role within the Forex industry. You will need to be a holder of a relevant professional certification such the CySEC Advanced and/or AML and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve marketing materials, emails sent to clients, reports, website content etc...
  • Draft, implement and ensure adherence of policies and procedures.
  • Periodically assess effectiveness of the internal policies and control procedures. Implement corrective measures, if needed.
  • Effectively implement compliance monitoring procedure.
  • Ensure all the regulatory tasks, reports and requirements are accurately performed within strict deadlines.
  • Inter-departmental support and training to ensure compliance across all functional depts.
  • Ensure all upcoming regulatory requirements and CySEC circulars are incorporated into business operations.
  • Assist to resolve client complaints in most sympathetic and professional manner. Also, investigate core reason of compliant to avoid its repetition.
  • Periodic investigations and review to ensure company adheres to all AML/CFT requirements.
  • Review service provider agreements, compare their cost and services with other market competitors and suggest on improvisations.
  • Perform developments and improvements to strengthen the core compliance environment.
  • Prepare reports for external authorities and internal management.
  • Contribute to company or group related ad-hoc tasks.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • University degree in law, finance, business or related field.
  • 2+ years’ experience within the CFDs/Forex industry working in a similar role is essential.
  • Relevant professional certification is mandatory (CySEC Advanced & AML).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Additional language is an advantage.
  • Business acumen with high attention to detail, organizational and presentation skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Able to work on own initiative, independently, prioritize workload and pay attention to details.
