CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established and expanding provider of Corporate & Fiduciary services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit an Accounting Officer to join their team based in the heart of Nicosia. Reporting to the Head of Accounting, the successful applicant will assist with various accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including helping with the preparation of Financial Statements under IFRS as well as the preparation of VAT & VIES forms. You will ideally hold an academic background relating to Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other similar field and possess approximately 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar role. Applicants pursuing a professional accounting qualification such as the ACCA are encouraged to apply, although this is not essential.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Daily bookkeeping and recording of transactions in the accounting system.
• Assisting with the preparation of accounting records under IFRS.
• Supporting the Accounting Manager with both internal and client accounting duties.
• Preparation of VAT/VIES/OSS forms for the company and its clients.
• Any other relevant duties as assigned by Management.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other relevant field.
• Applicants working towards a professional accounting qualification are encouraged to apply, but this is not essential.
• Approximately 2+ years of relevant accounting and bookkeeping experience is a must.
• Excellent computer literacy.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks Accounting software will be considered an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in both Greek & English.
