Accountant – Cyprus

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and self-motivated professional to join our team. The successful candidate will join a friendly and supportive team and work in an international and fast-growing organisation.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

• Maintain complete sets of books, prepare journals and post entries in the accounting software
• Assist in the preparation of various balance sheet reconciliations, including but not limited to bank, cash, and creditors
• Support the Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable function of the company
• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and perform variance analysis
• Collect information and assist with the yearly internal and external audits
• Liaise with vendors and clients for queries
• Assist with the preparation/review of valuation files for our clients
• Ensure correct filing of statements
• Assist in the preparation of regulatory reporting from a finance perspective
• Prepare and submit Quarterly VAT Returns and other tax obligations
• Update capital requirement calculations for review by Head of Finance
• Work closely with the Head of Finance and the COO

Main requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• ACCA/ACA would be an advantage
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting. Experience within the Investment Management / Financial industry will be a strong advantage
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Experience with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
• Professional and proactive approach to work
• Team player
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
