CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a rapidly expanding, International Investment Firm with offices in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit a Group Deputy Compliance Officer to join their team. The successful applicant should hold a degree in Law/Business/Finance or any other related field and hold approximately 4+ years of experience working for a multi-licensed broker with CySEC, FCA and any other offshore licenses. Excellent knowledge of AML, KYC, CDD procedures and compliance regulations are a must and you will be a holder of the CySEC Advanced Legal Framework certificate. Excellent communication skills in English (Written & Spoken) are essential. 

Role Overview: 

The Group Deputy Compliance Officer will ensure that the operations and business transactions follow all relevant compliance and internal rules. This position will also review employees’ work and provide advice on compliance. To succeed in this role, this person need to be a reliable professional who is not afraid to speak their mind, work with the team to make accurate and informed decisions and stand by their experience. He/she shall be familiar with compliance and financial services industry standards.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:  

• Ensure that all Companies within the Group fulfil their annual obligations and license conditions.
• Help to promote a compliance culture within the Group and to carry out such adhoc projects as may be reasonably requested by the Chief Compliance Officer.
• Develop and implement an effective compliance program within the Group.
• Developing and managing the compliance team and report any issues to the Chief Compliance Officer.
• Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them.
• Draft and revise company policies when needed.
• Proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses.
• Assist the Chief Compliance Officer with the evaluation of business activities (e.g. investments) to assess compliance risk.
• Assist the Chief Compliance Officer in ensuring that the compliance function remains up to date with any compliance requirements as per the Group’s licenses.
• Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation.
• Educate and train employees on regulations and industry practices.
• Address employee concerns or questions on any compliance issues.
• Keep abreast of internal standards and business goals.
• Any other duties that are requested and relevant to the role.

Key Skills/Experience:  

• Degree in Law/Business/Finance or any other related field.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in a multi-licensed broker with CySEC, FCA and any offshore licenses is a must.
• Excellent knowledge of AML, KYC and CDD procedures and compliance regulations is a must.
• CySEC Advanced Legal Framework Certificate is a must.
• Holder of AML Certificate or any other related certificate will be considered an advantage.
• Proven experience in Compliance is essential.
• Knowledge of legal requirements and controls (e.g. Anti-Money Laundering, MiFID, MAR, GDPR and Data privacy).
• Fluent in English (both oral and written).
• Experience in managing staff.
• Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards.
• Excellent communication skills.
