Blue Orange Property Management Services Ltd, is seeking to recruit a Head of Accounting to join a highly active team based in Paphos. 

The successful candidate will be responsible to oversee the day-to-day operation of the accounting department and ensure compliance with tax and financial reporting requirements.

Location: Paphos

Duties and responsibilities: 

• Supervise and work with the accounting team to complete accounting assignments within an agreed timetable, assign responsibilities and support junior staff.
• Oversee the recording of transactions and preparation of year-end financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Review and approve month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries.
• Oversee the annual statutory audit and act upon recommendations resulting from the audit findings.
• Monitor tax compliance and participate in tax planning.
• Review and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Establish and maintain appropriate internal controls to ensure operational efficiency and reliable financial reporting.
• Evaluate computerised accounting systems and provide recommendations.
• Prepare accounting reports to management. 
• Respond to accounting related queries.

Necessary requirements:

• ACA or ACCA qualification 
• A University graduate in accounting, business, finance or related field
• 4-6 years of relevant experience 
• People Management Skills
• Effective Communications Skills
• MS Office and working knowledge of accounting software
• Excellent knowledge of the English and Greek language, written and oral
• Initiative and attention to detail
• Organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Problem-solving 
• Results orientated
• Drive and determination
