The opportunity

Our team is part of EY’s Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe & Central Asia (CESA), delivering market leading services across industries in Cyprus and abroad.

As an Android developer on our team, you will delight many of our customers around the world by developing and implementing new solutions using the most advanced technology stack while working with the top leaders in their industries. 

Your Key Responsibilities

• Mainly developing new applications for external clients together with adding new functionalities and features into existing projects.

• Building reusable components and libraries for future use

• Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code

• Ability to optimise the code using instruments, or various techniques of memory profiling

• Guide the team to follow best industry practices to deliver clean code keeping performance in check

• Collaborate with project managers, UX designers, backend developers and quality assurance to deliver client projects

• Troubleshoot and debug

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Android developer

• Excellent knowledge of Java and Kotlin

• Very good communication skills (speaking and writing) in English

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Knowledge of cross platform development would be an advantage

• Experience with GIT and CI/CD pipelines

• Good knowledge of JetPack and/or Jetpack Compose

• Rest API knowledge

• Experience working in agile methodologies

• Experience in Banking or Insurance, or Government or Telco sectors would be considered an advantage

• Very good communication skills (speaking and writing) in English

• High degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability
