CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a leading management company licensed and regulated by CySEC, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Accounting Officer to join their team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will ideally hold an academic background relating to Accounting/Finance/Economics or related field. Any related experience in a similar position would be considered an advantage.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Book-keeping and maintenance of accounting records.
• Ensure proper financial records are kept and updated daily.
• Prepare monthly suppliers/creditors reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare bank payments for submission of fax instructions.
• Assist in invoicing and cash collection.
• Assist in monthly payroll calculations.
• Post transactions in portfolio management software.
• Calculation of the NAV of the funds under management using portfolio management software.
• Assist in preparation of all tax returns.
• Assist in preparation of the company’s budget and financial forecasts.
• Execution of any other task related to the duties of the position and requested by the Senior Management or Supervisors of the company.

Key Skills/Experience:

• BSc in Accounting/Finance/Economics or related field.
• Greek native speaker with fluency in English (Written & Spoken).
• Work experience in a similar position or experience working in a similar environment in Fiduciary/ Corporate Services Provider, Finance or any other industry will be consider an advantage.
• Knowledge of Accounting Principles and procedures.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office Packages) with excellent proficiency in Excel.
• Knowledge in using accounting software and databases will be considered an advantage.
