Android Developer

Job Description

On behalf of our client, a reputable company providing Information Technology Solutions, EY People Advisory Services (PAS) is currently seeking to recruit an Android Developer in Nicosia.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications used by large organizations worldwide
• Help define and build new features using clear, modular and well documented code, based on object oriented concepts and multi-tier architecture
• Work to resolve application issues reported by users
• Document or assist in documentation of your work at technical and business level.

Requirements:

• University degree in Computer Science or any related field
• Solid understanding of basic software patterns and data structures
• Development experience with Mobile Application Development using Java based Android or Kotlin (Native)
• Development experience utilizing Android Studio
• Experience with UI development, Android Components: Database, Service, Content Providers, Consuming REST Web Services, JSON/XML parsing, OOAD, Design patterns, n-tier Architecture, Multi-Threading
• Ability to create code for reusable libraries
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer-centric discipline
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Fluency in both Greek and English
• Willing to travel occasionally.

Additional Qualifications that would be consider an advantage:

• Are comfortable using code management (GIT)
• Have experience with common software architectural practices and principles (MVC, MVP, MVVM, Clean, SOLID)
• Are able to work with agile team methods.
