On behalf of our client, EY People Advisory Services (PAS) is currently seeking to recruit:

Senior Accountants, Nicosia & Limassol

The ideal candidates must have a proven experience and a solid background in accounting together with an on-going commitment to their professional development.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions
• Prepare financial statements and produce relevant reports
• Assist in the preparation of management reports
• Verify, allocate and reconcile accounts payable & receivable.
• Prepare and execute payroll
• Perform Bank Statement Reconciliations
• Maintain the Company’s Fixed Assets Register
• Prepare the income tax and VAT returns
• Perform other accounting related duties.
• Coordinate and liaise with the Company’s external auditors and Tax Advisors
• Effective use of the Company’s financial and accounting system
• Assist in the implementation of new accounting processes and procedures to maintain and improve internal controls

Key Skills & Experience:

• Membership in a Professional Accounting Body (ACCA, ACA or CPA)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting /Finance/Economics will be considered as an advantage
• Any level of the Chartered Financial Analyst certification will be considered an advantage
• At least 2 years’ post qualification experience in similar position
• Familiar with accounting packages as well as with the MS office suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English
• Excellent attention to details
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively both autonomously but also as part of a team
