Our client, a Nordic investment firm with a portfolio involving real estate, hotel, retail, and construction seek to employ a qualified accountant for their Cyprus office. The firm invests in distressed and special situations with a focus on unlocking value by improving the underlying operational performance. Additionally, they invest in growth opportunities backing strong management teams requiring capital to grow. The Group advises a number of funds and private accounts that represent some of the world’s leading institutions and High Net Worth Individuals. They achieve this by working closely with experienced management teams and utilising their internal skillset. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an international investment firm, be fluent in English and with the ability and knowledge to run the operation smoothly. Key Responsibilities:

• Review statutory financial statements 
• Preparation of statutory financial statements for specific group companies
• Responsible for the full accounting for the Cyprus companies, including the Cyprus shareholders
• Managing the process of preparation and review of quarterly or bi-annual management accounts for submission to banks
• Preparation and/or review of year-end tax computations including review of IR4s and liaising with tax advisors
• Preparation of the annual budget for Cyprus companies and quarterly forecasts 
• Management of the year-end audit process
• Supervise and manage administrative procedures, bank accounts for the group, monitoring investments, and completion of all and any compliance requirements
• Hold the position of managing director in selected group companies
• Enhance the corporate profile

Candidate Profile:

• Professional qualification (ACCA/ACA/CPA) with 5 years of post-qualification experience
• Proficiency in preparation and review of IFRS financial statements 
• Experience and deep understanding of  tax computations under Cyprus  and international tax law
• Knowledge of current VAT laws
• Fluent in English
